Wildcats, see below for your substitute assignments.
You will be looking at a case study on desert snakes. It poses a question and gives you data to find the answer. You are to interpret the data and write me an argumentative essay. This is not lit class, so I will not be grading you like an english teacher would. You do have to have to use grammar appropriately, but mostly I'm looking for an argument that is supported by lots of evidence. Turn in when done.
3rd Block: You have a study guide for your test on Thursday. It covers evolution as well as the 6 kingdoms and viruses. Use the textbook to answer the questions.
4th Block: Work on your weird science posts!
Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
Sorry I'm out today!
1st block: complete "rat island" and turn in.
3rd block: go to this website:
turn in when youre done.
We are about halfway through the semester!
Right now we are studying DNA and how it controls the work in cells. The quiz will be sometime mid next week, and the test will be next Friday the 19th.
Since it's about halfway through, you should be thinking about how to change those bad habits you may have. Maybe you need to improve your time management. Maybe you need to go to tutoring after school. Maybe you need to study for tests more. See the "Extra Resources" page for tips and tools.
Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions,
Thank you for coming to Open House!
And for those of you that were not able to make it, I am so excited to be teaching your children this semester. It has been a pleasure to meet them and start getting to know them.
Each course I teach has a webpage on this blog which you can see in the menu above. I will post due dates and study resources for each unit. And if you need to contact me, you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am so excited to start another year here with yall at Wheeler.
Some of you I have taught before and many of you I have not, but I'm excited to get to know you all more.
Poke around this blog, as it is full of helpful information and resources to be successful in my class and in high school.
It's almost the end! If you received your graded discussion today, I look forward to getting your final draft of your paper in tomorrow. If you did not get your discussion today, your paper is NOT due tomorrow. Your paper will be due one day after your graded discussion is handed back to you.
All posters and logbooks are due tomorrow unless you got a special exception from me.
Remember that when you turn in your final paper I need ALL ROUGH DRAFTS.
